The Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) in Leadership, Management, and Operations provides a detailed exploration of the operations of a business organization through the development of operational skills, management techniques, and leadership ability. The Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Leadership, Management, and Operations (LMO) focuses on the managerial side of the workplace.  This degree teaches students to exercise ethical influence, solve complex problems, think critically, inspire teamwork, and manage conflict. Offerings will include a general BAS-LMO degree plus the following concentrations:

  • Intelligence Operations Studies (IOST)
  • Military Intelligence Systems Technician (MIST)
  • Military Unmanned Vehicle Operator (UAVO)
  • Military Unmanned Vehicle Technician (UAVT)
  • Law Enforcement (LEO)
  • Paramedicine (PAR)
  • Fire Science (FST)

Please Note: Students must have completed an associate degree in the associated BAS-LMO concentrations to qualify for acceptance to the BAS-LMO degree program.

Degree Information

Assess leadership related to workplace behaviors, effective communication, and managing conflict while integrating management theories and resource management practices to lead individuals and teams within an organizational setting. Evaluate operational, financial, and economic data to formulate analytically sound decisions for the planning and utilization of organizational resources. Summarize an organization’s ethical and legal dimensions and apply ethical standards and social responsibility to organizational decision-making. Examine project management, innovation, and change management processes necessary for effective growth and governance within an organization. Analyze current human and resource management issues to develop effective management strategies that align with organizational policies.

Overview of Military Concentrations

Intelligence Operations Studies (IOST)accordian open close
  • This concentration is open to all students.
  • Requires a minimum of twenty-one (21) 100-200 level AAS-IOST core credit hour.
Military Intelligence Systems Technician (MIST)accordian open close
  • Requires a minimum of twenty-seven (27) 100-200 level AAS-MIST core credit hours.

Note: This concentration is only open to military and veteran students who earned the 100-200 level core credit hours through the Cochise College MOS Credentialing Program while attend the associated credentialed Army training.

Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Operator (UAVO)accordian open close
  • Requires a minimum of twenty-six (26) 100-200 level AAS-UAVO core credit hours.

Note: This concentration is only open to military and veteran students who earned the 100-200 level core credit hours through the Cochise College MOS Credentialing Program while attend the associated credentialed Army training.

Unmanned Aircraft System Technician (UAVT)accordian open close
  • Requires a minimum of twenty-four (24) 100-200 level AAS-UAVT core credit hours.

Note: This concentration is only open to military and veteran students who earned the 100-200 level core credit hours through the Cochise College MOS Credentialing Program while attend the associated credentialed Army training.

  • Concentrations address the career and educational goals of students currently in or preparing to be leaders in the intelligence, intelligence systems technician, or UAS fields.
  • American Council on Education (ACE) military credit recommendations may apply toward this degree.

Fire Science Technology (FST)accordian open close
  • Students must be current and in good standing with the Arizona Department of Health Services Bureau of Emergency Medical Services-Certified Technician.
  • Complete Fire Science Academy prior to degree completion.
  • Requires a minimum of thirty (30) 100-200 level AAS-FST core credit hours.
Law Enforcement (LEO)accordian open close
  • Must meet AzPOST minimum requirements for a law enforcement officer and meet any physical requirements by the Academy Director.
  • Complete Law Enforcement Academy prior to degree completion.
  • Requires a minimum of thirty (30) 100-200 level AAS-LEO core credit hours.
Paramedicineaccordian open close
  • Students must be current and in good standing with the Arizona Department of Health Services Bureau of Emergency Medical Services-Certified Technician.
  • Complete Paramedicine certificate prior to degree completion.
  • Requires a minimum of 49-55 100-200 level AAS-PAR core credit hours.
