Cochise wins hard fought win on road 58-55 over rival Arizona Western College

YUMA, Ariz. —The Cochise College Apaches Men’s Basketball team was able to use a strong defensive effort to secure a much-needed ACCAC road win versus rival Arizona Western College last night on the Campus of Arizona Western College in the “House”.
Cochise and the Matadors were deadlocked at 25 after the first 20 minutes of play and were able to pull out the 3-point win with a great overall team effort on the defensive end.
Cochise was led by sophomore guards Ben Henderson and Lewis Woosnam, who scored 14 and 13 points respectively in the win. Sophomore forward MJ Clegg added 8 points and 12 rebounds to bolster the Apache attack.

Up Next..
Cochise (8-3,2-1) will travel back to Yuma, AZ on Monday, Dec. 16th, to take on the #16 ranked CSI Golden Eagles in the first game of the Matador Winter Classic. Tip-off is set for 7:00 pm on Monday.
