The ADA Accessibility Services Office at Cochise College provides a variety of support services to meet the unique needs of faculty, staff, and students with documented disabilities. Our goal is to empower students, foster independence, promote success and assist individuals in discovering and developing their full potential.

The Accessibility Services Office at Cochise College provides a variety of services tailored to individual needs.
Examples of Common Accommodations:
- Alternative Format Material: E-text, Electronic Handouts, Braille
- Alternative Testing Arrangements: Extended Testing Time, Reduced-Distraction Testing Area, Use of Access Technology
- Access Technology: Voice Recognition Software, Text-To Speech Software, Magnification Software, Calculators
- Classroom/Workplace Accommodations: Accessible Furniture, Interpreters, Note-Taking Support, Preferential Seating
- Student must go through the intake process with the Accessibility Services Office.
- Student must provide documentation of disability.
- Report any issues with effectiveness of accommodations to the Accessibility Services Office.
- Meet with the Accessibility Services Office each semester to revisit accommodations.
- Provide textbook receipts for alternative text formats.
- Schedule their own appointments with the Testing Center.
Examples of reasonable accommodations:
- Alternative Testing Arrangements: Extended testing times, Reduced distraction testing area, Testing in the Testing Center, etc.
- Accessibility Technology: Speech-to-text software, text-to-speech software, calculators, etc.
- Classroom/Workplace Accommodations: Accessible furniture, Interpreters, Note-taking support, Preferential seating, etc.
