DOUGLAS, Ariz. — Cochise Women’s Soccer outgoing sophomore, Sabrina Amezcua was selected as an NJCAA Second Team All-American yesterday by a national committee. The NJCAA released their first and second team selections which totaled 31 student-athletes from across the country.

 

Amezcua, from Mexicali, Mexico, completed her sophomore season starting in every match for the Apaches, scoring 27 goals, which was good enough for second in the country for Division I. The All-American forward finished her historic career at Cochise, starting in 27 games and scoring 48 goals with 11 assists and a career shot-on-goal % of .660.
