Programs
Expand All +This program is tailor made for students who did not graduate from high school and are seeking the Arizona High School Equivalency Diploma. There are three options available so students can choose the path that works best for their individual needs.
GED® Tests
The GED® Test Pathway requires that the student pass five GED® sub-tests including
Reasoning through Language Arts (RLA), Math, Social Studies, Science, and the Arizona
Civics Exam. Through our program, students will receive instruction targeted toward
areas specifically covered in each GED® sub-test.
College Credit
The College Credit Pathway offers students who are ready for college to earn their
High School Equivalency Diploma by taking and passing 25 credit hours worth of specific
college courses and passing the Arizona Civics Test. For more information about College
Credit view the AZED College Credit Pathway (PDF).
HSE+
The High School Equivalency Plus Pathway (PDF) allows for students to combine credits that they earned in high school with specific
college credits or GED® tests.
College Level English as a Second Language Classes, or other college programs.
This program is similar to the High School Equivalency Program except that it is for students who have graduated from High School but may need additional instruction in a particular area in order to move forward on their career or academic path. Through our evaluation tool, we work with students to determine placement in our leveled math or reading classes where teachers and students work as partners to achieve results.
Our Integrated Education and Training (IET) program is an innovative combination of education and job skills training used to transition adult learners beyond adult basic education and through a career pathway that offers job training with a focus toward gainful employment. This program is available to any student enrolled in an HSE, ABE, or ESOL program and will result in an Industry Certification. This program is intended to offer our students a competitive workforce advantage when applying for jobs upon graduation.
