Overview
The Dental Assistant Certificate prepares the student to work as an effective entry-level dental assistant. Our comprehensive curriculum offers hands-on, real-world training, and covers communication, administrative, and chairside assisting skills necessary to work in this position. From aiding in diverse treatment procedures to ensuring patient comfort and managing office duties, our program equips you to become a valuable asset to any dental practice.
Dental Assistant
- Effectively perform both front and back end dental office duties to support smooth and profitable dental practice operations.
- Demonstrate the management of client medical information, treatment experiences, and oral health education correctly, professionally, and ethically.
- Provide effective chairside assisting for general, specialty, and emergency dental procedures using state of the art, dental science-based practices.
Implement industry standard principles and quality assurance guidelines for dental infection control, aseptic techniques, and hazard management.
