Directed Self Placement (DSP)
Directed Self Placement (DSP) is a course placement tool that helps you choose a course that aligns with your skills and your experiences. Once you complete the DSP activities, you will select which course best meets your needs. You are welcome to speak to an advisor before, during, or after the placement process.
- Current High School students
- International students with F1 visas
- Students having between 0 and 14 earned college credits

Advance notice is necessary to arrange for some accessibility needs. You can complete all of the Directed Self Placement (DSP) surveys on any internet-ready device. However, for a better experience you should avoid using a cell phone.

1. You must take a presurvey PRIOR to taking the English or Reading DSPs:

2. The following DSPs require a password to enter. You will receive this password after completing the requirements for the presurvey. You may take these in any order.
