*All prerequisite courses must be completed before or during the semester the student takes the TEAS Entrance Exam.

ENG 101 is a prerequisite to PSY 240, NUR 122, and NUR 203.

Completion of MAT 081 or higher or placement into MAT 091 or higher is a prerequisite for NUR121A.

BIO 156, or BIO 181, or acceptable score on BIO 201 Waiver Test is a prerequisite for BIO 201.

BIO 201, BIO 202, BIO 205, MAT 142 & all NUR courses must have B or higher grades.

Science courses must be <= 7 years old with a grade of a B or better. Recommend taking BIO courses before NUR 203. NUR 203 must be <= 5 years old with a grade of a B or better.

Cochise College Policy 3004.1 allows students the opportunity to waive a prerequisite course. Students seeking a prerequisite waiver should consult with an academic advisor and should understand full responsibility for the outcome of the course taken will be on the student. Pre-nursing students may not waive core nursing or core education courses.

At the end of the second year, students take the National Council Licensing Exam for RN (NCLEX-RN). Completion of the program does not guarantee licensure.
